However, eager fans will have to wait until 2019 before they can witness this epic battle on the silver screen. Interestingly, Universal Studios, the home of "King Kong," has shown little interest in the project. Instead, Legendary Pictures has partnered with Warner Bros., who will contribute 25% of the budget and take care of the film's distribution. The filmmakers are fully aware of the significant size difference between King Kong and Godzilla. While Godzilla stands tall like a skyscraper, King Kong can only perch atop the Empire State Building. But Legendary Pictures is undeterred and has promised to find a logical way to pit these two giants against each other while also uniting them for a common cause.
